HOW TO DOWNLOAD AND UNZIP YOUR ETSY FILES

These are some of the most frequently asked questions we receive from our customers at Etsy, so here we will show you how to download and unzip your files after making the purchase. Hope you find this useful!

HOW TO DOWNLOAD AND ACCESS YOUR ETSY FILES

Once your payment is confirmed, digital files will be available for download. Etsy will send you an automatically generated email with a link that will direct you to the download of the files.
If you don't  receive the Etsy email, you can access your files from your account following these steps:

1. Log in to Etsy.com (with the account you made the purchase) and go to Your Account, is your round profile picture in the top right corner.
2. Go to the Purchases page located in the drop-down menu below your profile picture.
3. You will see all your orders, next to the order click the "Download Files" button. This goes to the Downloads page for all the files attached to your order, click Download and it will automatically start downloading to your device.

NOTES:
If your payment is still processing, the Download Files button will be gray.
If you paid with PayPal or a credit card on Etsy, confirmation might take a few minutes. Keep refreshing the page until it’s available.

IMPORTANT: If you are downloading on your phone you have to go to ETSY.com through a web browser. Do not use the Etsy app. You will not have access to download from the app.

IPHONE/IPAD

  • As stated above in the downloads section, you must access Etsy through a web browser and type in ETSY.com. You cannot use their app or open their app later when prompted by them. Downloads are currently not available through their app.

  • Then, login and go to your Purchases tab, and navigate to the file you want to download.

  • From here, you can tap the Download Files link at the top. This will take you to a new page.

  • Hit the download cloud. Next, a message asking if you would like to download pops up, select Download. Your files will automatically download to your “Files” app.

  • Then, click the blue download arrow in the top right hand corner.

  • Tap the small bar that pops up and your iPhone will automatically redirect you to your iCloud Drive in your “Files” app where the .zip is automatically downloaded. If it doesn’t redirect you, just open your Files app and go into your Downloads folder

  • Tap on your zip folder. It will automatically extract the zip folder and all of the files will be accessible through a new folder. The new folder will have the same title as the zip folder but you will know the difference between the folders because the zip folder will end in .zip and will not allow you to access the individual files.

  • Once this is done, move the files and rearrange as you see fit.

ANDROID DEVICE

  • As stated above in the downloads section, you must access Etsy through a web browser and type in ETSY.com. You cannot use their app or open their app later when prompted by them. Downloads are currently not available through their app.

  • Then, login and go to your Purchases tab, and navigate to the file you want to download.

  • Tap the download link by touching and holding or tapping the download icon.

  • Your phone will automatically download the files into your “Files” or “My Files” app, depending on which one you have. Some Android users find that they prefer using the free “Files by Google” app, which uses your Google Drive cloud storage to save and manage files.

  • In the Files by Google app, tap Browse, then navigate to your digital download.

  • Tap the .zip file and on the next screen, select Extract. It will automatically extract the zip folder and all of the files will be accessible through a new folder. The new folder will have the same title as the zip folder, but you will know the difference between the folders because the zip folder will end in .zip and will not allow you to access the individual files.

  • Once this is done, move the files and rearrange as you see fit.
